Well It's been a long time since my last post. Not much has happened in the past few months. I've been working and that's about it. I spend the weekends at home and I don't go out much. Now that the weather is getting nicer, I hope to go on a trip to the country side. I was planning on going last weekend, but it rained and rained and rained. The thunder was so strong, that it was setting off car alarms. I got a cool pic of lightning from the front window at about 4:00 am on Sunday morning. I took about 150 photos before I got this one and I missed many more. It's hard to get a good photo of lightning with the camera I have. The slowest shutter speed is 15 sec and it takes the camera about 10 sec to process the image. All the good flashes of lightning happened while the camera was processing the last shot. I can't wait to get a new camera!!

Hey Dean, great to see a post from ya! Fantastic pictures too! Love the lightening shot, and the one of Jade and her Grandmother is very nice. That spider is pretty freaky though...yuck!

What's this about a new camera? Thought ya just got a new one? Anyway, take care and I'll talk to ya soon! :)

Ack, that looks like one of those crazy jumping spiders and it's ready to jump on my head! Cool pics Dean as much as I hate those little creatures. Lightning's really hard to catch but you got 'er, good job.

Did you ever send your camera back to get the shutter fixed? Yours is a Canon too, isn't it? I know I'm some happy with my Kodak but same thing, takes time processing (for longer shutter speeds) and shutter speeds and aperture adjustments are still pretty basic. Takes a great picture though.

You're just going to have to break down and get the DSLR you've been wanting.

Oh, what's with the mirror in the woods, BTW?

It wasn't the shutter it was the lens. It's still making a clicking sound, but it's working. I took some video of the jumping spider, it's pretty funny. It sees its refexion in the lens and keeps jumping at it. I have the same problem with mine, I need a wider range in both aperture adjustment and shutter speed.

I found the mirror while out hiking in January.
